An exploration, out in the woods, learning how to commune with your environment using all your senses, including your sixth sense which relates to our heart and spirit. The technique is called Eco Mapping and it is a way of perceiving the more than human world . . . and receiving from the more than human world in return. A dialogue, or communion begins, and we see, hear, touch, taste, smell and sense all that is beyond and also within our selves bringing us into being of our Earth rather than apart from it.
The walk takes place in Welshbury Woods around the old fort and progresses to St Anthony's Well if we have time. The trees' leaves will be turning and the rich smells of Autumn begin their earthy emanance from the forest floor. You need no knowledge of spirit or shamanic work to enjoy this experience. You might want to bring along a packed lunch . . . and a flask of tea.
