Eco Shamanism Workshop
Eco Shamanism is a term I use to describe a new shamanism that embraces all our senses, including our spirit sense (sixth sense). By linking into the four elements of air, fire, water and earth with our senses, using guided shamanic journeying in the natural and built environments, we can begin to experience ourselves as an element of Earth ourselves. This experience helps us avoid the all too common sense of dissociation and separation from our surroundings and ultimately, our selves (and each other). As civilisations have become more and more complex, and often more and more detached from the 'ordinary' world by being 'indoors' and/or 'in technological gadgets', our sense of immediacy with our physical and sensual surroundings becomes less visceral and more heady, or intellectual. Eco Shamanism is a practise that helps us reconnect our senses to our surroundings and gives us the opportunity to become one with the spiritual element of our immediate world. These one day workshops will give you a flavour of eco shamanism and an idea of the work present in the Eco Shamanism Year Long Course.
