Purely by chance in 2006 I read a book by Carlos Castaneda - ‘The Active Side of Infinity’. I now know that ‘chance’ is a word we use when we can’t explain a fortuitous event. Following this ‘encounter’, I sought out the Sacred Trust and began my shamanic practitioner training which I completed in 2009. I have also undertaken the ‘Path of Pollen’ training with the Sacred Trust. This has deepened my practice and increased my sensitivity to the way in which the intangible, unseen forces that lie behind the veil are accessible and nourishing to the lives we lead on an everyday basis. More recently I have developed a passion for eco shamanism and have recently studied Dark Ecology with David Abram, author of The Spell of the Sensuous, and Stephan Harding at Schumacher College. I believe that a convergence of shamanism and ecological thinking and perception can help us to change the way we live on this planet and help heal ourselves in the process.
I live on the edge of the ancient Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, close to the Wye and Severn Rivers and the rich farmlands of Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, and revel in the diversity and directness of our natural environment often being shown aspects of nature which are essential to my practise. My inspiration also comes from the greater cosmos to which, I believe, we are far more connected than we think.
I am based on the edge of the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire and very close to Herefordshire and Monmouthshire. Please use the following details to contact me or send me a message. Clicking on my email address will open up an email.

My past includes a 20 year bout of teaching classical and jazz piano and singing. I’m also an occasional artist and am responsible for the art work (and most of the photos) on this site - go to links to see my art.
In the 1990s I set up and ran a small organic vegetable garden selling the produce through one of the first vegetable box schemes. I wrote a book on the subject entitled ‘Valuable Vegetables’ which is available through various internet companies. I also spent several years teaching courses on sustainable gardening at a local further education college. I’m still a keen gardener and can often be found pottering in my small cottage garden which is based on natures inherent diversity and wildness.
I like to think the future holds as many possibilities as the past depending on our outlook . . . my future holds more learning, specifically from the Earth, and in the human world . . .
